“Govardhan Lila” alludes to a crucial moment in the life of Hindu deity Lord Krishna. The story, which is a portion of the greater account of Krishna’s early years, centers on Govardhan Hill. Hindu mythology states that Krishna advised the villagers of Vrindavan to worship Govardhan Hill instead of Lord Indra, the rain god, as the hill supplied all of their necessities.
