Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura appeared as the foremost messenger of the divine teachings and message of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Grateful for his work, the Gaudiya Vaishnava society recognized him as the seventh Goswami because his contribution was as high as that of the great Shad Goswamis of Vrindavan.He composed more than a hundred texts on the science of devotion for the benefit of the living entities of this material world.
