Sita Devi, in her previous expansion, was Vedavati, an incarnation of Lakshmi Devi in the form of a powerful yogini. She meditated for thousands of years aiming to attain Vishnu, the Lord of the three worlds, as her husband. Born as an incarnation of the sacred Vedas, Vedavati was the grand daughter of Brihaspati, the guru of the demigods.
