Description
Kaliyas proper home was the island of Vrindavan, but he was driven from there by fear of Garuda, the enemy of all serpents. Garuda was cursed by a yogi who lived in Vrindavan so that he could not come near Vrindavan without meeting his death. Therefore, Kaliya chose Vrindavan as his abode, knowing that it was the only place where Garuda could not come.
